Why do YOU want to lose fat

This is a very valuable and helpful question to answer for three reasons:

1.  Starting to do the things that lose fat even on a very easy level takes some effort.  Adding more things and getting better at doing them takes ongoing effort.  So if you know the results you want and feel how much you want them, it’s MUCH easier to make those efforts!

2.  To be effective in losing fat and keep it off, you will need to customize what you do to you and your preferences.  Knowing why you want to lose fat will help prioritize those custom solutions in favor of the results you want.

3.  Knowing what you want to lose fat for also enables you to look for and find other ways to achieve the results you want. 

This has two benefits:  You help ensure that losing fat gets the results you want most.  This helps enormously in keeping the fat off.

AND, during periods when your fat loss stalls or slows down, taking action to get the results you want directly too can help you get the results and keep your spirits up.  That too helps enormously in losing the fat and keeping it off.

*Do you want to lose fat to protect your health or stop a health problem you already have?

If so, we are one of the MOST health oriented of the fat loss method sources and most likely to help you get the results you want.

Almost all of the ways to protect your health also tend to reduce your fat or have you stop doing things that fatten you.

Then too, during a period with less fat loss than you want, maintaining the fat loss you did achieve is dramatically easier if those actions also directly provide the health results you want.

Also, many drugs that make or keep you fat or reduce your quality of life become unnecessary when you do the things that protect your health in other ways and lose fat too.

Lastly, many fattening and harmful foods do taste good.  If you know for sure they are fattening and harmful, and you want good health and fat loss and focus on THAT it is much more doable to pass these foods up or not buy them to bring home in the first place.

Bonus fact:  If you ideally want to lose 25% of your current body weight as fat and manage to lose 5 to 10% initially in just a few months, you get as much as 70 or 80% of the achievable health protection you want!  So you CAN make a real difference early on!

*Do you want to feel more able and increase your self-esteem?  

Successfully starting an exercise program and making progress on it does this within as short a time as two or three weeks!

This is particularly true for strength training!

And, as you continue your exercise and eating plan successfully, this too adds to your self-esteem and feeling of control in your life.

This is so much the case that many of the most successful courses to help you succeed financially or in your career include regular exercise as an essential and very helpful part.

It’s even been shown that exercising first thing in the morning is good in part because people who do perform better at work on days they do so.

*Do you want to look better?

Losing 10 to 25% of your initial weight as fat often does this.

So does being nice to people and looking at them attentively. 

People look dramatically better when they smile.  So when you see someone you like or someone does something that pleases you, giving them a smile makes you look that much better too.

Keeping clean and doing a great job keeping your teeth and gums healthy also helps do this.  (It turns out to be a very important way to protect your health too.)

Once people do enough exercise and lose enough fat they begin to look more able and able to move well.  They often DO move well.  This makes them look better.

And, a surprising and little known fact is that eating several of the organic vegetables that most help fat loss makes you look healthier. 

AND, because the way this happens is subliminal, the people who look at you KNOW you look healthy or healthier than you did.  But if asked, most of them can’t say why.  The more perceptive people may say you have a healthy glow to you.

Here’s how that works:  Eating organic green, nonstarchy vegetables are is one of the best ways to protect your health. Doing so with these high fiber, low calorie, high nutrition foods is one of the effective and proven ways to eat MORE, be less hungry and still lose fat that you keep off.

The less known but real extra benefit is that the dark green of foods like broccoli and romaine lettuce and kale and Swiss Chard and other foods like them hides the orange and red carotenes that are ALSO abundant in these foods.  They have hundred of kinds of carotenes we now know!

People who eat two or three a day of these dark green vegetables and or/eat tomatoes or tomato sauce or yams, wind up being very slightly more reddish orange because of it.  When that happens people notice they look healthy! But they rarely have a clue as to why!

So, as you can see, there are many reasons to lose fat and keep it off.


Once you know why YOU want to do so, you are both more likely to get the results you want from losing fat and keeping it off AND you are much more likely to lose fat and keep it off too!
